Safeway is the first grocery store to offer its own Covid Vaccine, which is expected to be available by the end of the year.
The company’s CovID vaccine, which comes in two formulations, is designed to reduce the risk of a virus spreading from one person to another.
According to the FDA, the Covid vaccination reduces the risk for people to get sick from three out of every 100 people.
It’s also recommended for adults over age 65 and people who have had a recent coronavirus vaccination.
The first batch of Covid vaccines is available at Safeway stores in states like California, Colorado, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Washington, D.C. The company says that the first doses of the Covids were delivered in April, but that it plans to begin rolling them out in stores nationwide by early December.
A Safeway spokesperson told The Hill that it’s the first time the company has offered a Covid product.
According the company, the first batch was distributed to retailers in April in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin.
It was distributed in Florida and Texas in the weeks following the election, and it is expected that the company will distribute it nationwide later this year.
According an article from USA Today, the company’s first Covid was delivered to Safeway in May.
The retailer is also offering a CovID Vaccine Starter Kit, which includes one vaccine, a booster shot, and a free box of medication.
The Safeway Covid is a double dose of the vaccine, according to the company.
The first dose contains the same dose of Covids vaccine and the second dose contains two doses of Covides vaccine.
The two doses can be used together or separately.
According USA Today , Safeway CEO Jim Pritzker said that Safeway will begin distributing the CovID vaccines at select stores in March.
According, Pritzkers statements also said that the Covis vaccines will be delivered through an online portal in mid-December.
The spokesperson said that this is the same method that Safeways Covid has used in the past.
In late November, Safeway announced that it was launching a partnership with Merck to provide Covid vaccinations.
The partnership, which will include a Covids vaccination for those who have pre-existing allergies, will be available in stores in the U.S. and Canada.
According , the CovIDs vaccines will come with the same safety standards as other prescription and over-the-counter medications.
The vaccine is also made with a specially formulated vaccine.
